The capital of flamboyant flamenco, Seville is a traditional Spanish city in the south of the country. Boasting a backdrop of charming Andalusian design flecked with Moorish castles and Roman fortresses, it effortlessly combines style and personality. With a buzzing nightlife, a culture that's enticingly rich and fascinating, and plenty of quirky sights to behold, there is no time to get bored. It dances with jovial music and houses hundreds of cosy haunts that are bastion of Spanish culture and tradition thanks to its part in the birth of flamenco. But it's modern, too, with an array of contemporary cafes, quirky art galleries, and lush boutique stores dotted along the rustic old streets. The city has lots to explore, so pick a good base with one of our apartments in Seville, ranging from affordable studios tucked down winding alleyways to short term flats overlooking the terracotta roofs.
Seville is known as the birthplace of traditional Spanish flamenco, a flurry of colours, sounds, and dance that make for the perfect evening viewing. Throughout the city you'll find a huge selection of bars, restaurants, cafes, and performance halls that put on regular flamenco shows, highlighting classic performers as well as up and coming stars. If you want to get into the spirit of it and try some flamenco yourself (why wouldn't you?!), then head to the Museo del Flamenco where you can watch dancers swing their stuff in an intimate space and get involved yourself.
If you're looking to just watch, though, then you can pretty much find a place on every corner. Try one of the peñas, where you can stand up and feel the rhythm rather than tap along through a sit-down show. The ambiance is much livelier and intimate -- head to La Carboneria or Casa de la Memoria de Al-Andalus for great experiences.
After dancing the night away flamenco-style, make sure you book one of our great affordable flats or apartments in Seville to get a good night's sleep.

Seville's San Pablo Airport is located about 10km away from the city centre and there are numerous ways you can get from the airport into town. The quickest way is to grab a taxi from the ranks outside the terminals. It'll take about 15 minutes and set you back about 20 Euros. Alternatively, you can catch the direct bus from outside the airport which takes about 30 minutes to get to Avenida Carlos V in the centre of the city. From there you have access to the local tram services if you need to transfer to another part of Seville.
Many visitors also arrive in Seville from other Spanish cities, especially Madrid, as well as from neighbouring countries on the long-distance cross-country train services.
Seville has a great public transport system with many options. It has regular and reliable bus and tram services that connect all the major hotspots as well as attractions further afield, and there's also a cheap and quick metro service that caters to all parts of the city. The best ways to explore Seville, though, are on foot or by bike. Many of the major attractions are within walking distance of each other and there are numerous bicycle pick up points throughout the city where you can grab a ride and enjoy discovering the winding streets and old architecture at a slower pace.
